Route: Glarus Alps – Bächistock – Bös Fulen – Grisset
The Bös Fulen, also called Böser Faulen, is the highest summit in the canton of Schwyz with an altitude of 2,801 m above sea level. The mountain lies on the border between the Swiss cantons of Glarus and Schwyz. It is a rocky and impassable massif. Since even experienced mountaineers are having difficulties climbing the summit, they sometimes say mockingly that the mountain really is «bös» («mean»).
The northeast Grisset, at 2,721 m above sea level, is in approximately 1 km distance from the Bös Fulen and unofficially also has the name Guet Fulen (meaning «the good Fulen»).
